The fourth titanium edition of the C by Romain Gauthier brings a stealthy black-and-blue look to the collection. The 41mm x 9.55mm case, lugs and buckle are made of Grade 5 titanium coated with a technical black ADLC treatment, measuring 49.5mm lug to lug and water resistant to 50 metres. The six-facet bezel and sculpted caseband retain the satin and polished contrasts that define the C design.
The dial is a three-dimensional structured surface in black Grade 5 titanium, brought to life by blue accents. Gold hands, numerals and indices are executed in 3D and filled with Super-LumiNova. Off-centre hours and minutes and small seconds at 7 o’clock follow the open, airy “continuity” layout that Romain Gauthier conceived for this collection.
Inside, the in-house hand-wound C by Romain Gauthier calibre in natural Grade 5 titanium contains 154 components and 24 jewels, beats at 28,800 vph and offers a 60-hour power reserve. Highlights include the snail-cam stop-seconds, stepped finger bridges with a hand-engraved dimpled texture and a hand-frosted mainplate. Each movement is engraved “1 of 38”, and the watch comes on a black textured rubber strap with a black ADLC titanium pin buckle.
