The Berneron Mirage 34 Tiger Eye combines a South African tiger eye stone dial with an asymmetric 18k yellow gold case and the hand-wound Calibre 215 with 72 hours of power reserve.

The Mirage 34 is the more compact interpretation of Berneron’s GPHG-winning Mirage, designed with a “form follows function” philosophy and case proportions based on the Fibonacci sequence. Following the brand’s “one watch, one movement” approach, it received its own newly developed calibre rather than a scaled-down version of the 38mm movement. Its 30 x 34mm case measures 38mm lug to lug and 7mm thick, making it ideal for smaller wrists or for couples who want to share a watch.
The dial is cut from tiger eye stone sourced from South Africa, whose golden-brown bands shimmer as the light moves. The small seconds counter is hand-sculpted into the main plate, leaving only 0.40mm of material, and the hands are 18k yellow gold. A hesalite top crystal, sapphire caseback and 30 metres of water resistance complete the case.
Inside is Berneron’s proprietary hand-wound Calibre 215 with direct small seconds. It measures 21 x 25 x 2.15mm, uses 118 components and 23 jewels, beats at 25,200 vph (3.5Hz) and stores 72 hours of power. The 18k gold main plate and bridges are finished with grained plate, guillochage, anglage, cerclage and black-polished screws. The case, hands, buckle and spring bars are all 18k gold, and the watch comes on a Barenia leather strap with an 18k yellow gold buckle.
All components are made in the Swiss cantons of Neuchâtel and Jura, and production is limited each year.
