The 40mm platinum case measures just 9.9mm thick and features a sapphire crystal case back, allowing the manually wound 18k rose-gold movement to be admired from the reverse. The grey-gold dial carries the distinctive F.P. Journe chronometer aesthetic, with a whitened guilloché silver subdial framed by a screwed steel circle. Off-centre hours and minutes are displayed at 3 o’clock, while the dead-beat seconds indication sits at 6 o’clock and the 42-hour power-reserve indication balances the composition at 12 o’clock. Blued-steel hands complete the restrained yet highly recognizable design.
Powering the Tourbillon Souverain TN is the manually wound Calibre 1403.2/1403, featuring 26 jewels and operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour. The movement incorporates a 15-tooth escape wheel, 90-degree anchor fork, free-sprung balance with four inertia weights, and a flat Anachron balance spring with Breguet overcoil. Its constant-force tourbillon mechanism is protected by F.P. Journe patents and delivers approximately 42 ± 2 hours of autonomy.

The original Tourbillon Souverain was the first model of the Souveraine collection, while the TN generation introduced the dead-beat seconds system in 2004. The watch received the prestigious Aiguille d’Or at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in 2004, further cementing its place among the most important modern tourbillon watches.
