Richard Mille RM 61-01 Yohan Blake Monochrome Limited Edition of 50

The RM 61-01 Yohan Blake Monochrome features an asymmetric tonneau-shaped case measuring 50.23MM in length, 42.70MM in width, and 15.84MM in thickness. The bezel and caseback are crafted from black TZP-N ceramic, an exceptionally hard and lightweight material, while the caseband is constructed from resilient Carbon TPT®. The elongated architecture between 2 and 5 o’clock is specifically designed to prevent the crown from rubbing against the wrist during athletic activity. Large crown protectors further reinforce the watch’s sport-focused construction, while 20 Grade 5 titanium spline screws secure the case.

The monochrome aesthetic is defined by the contrast between the black ceramic and Carbon TPT® case and the white elements of the movement and inner flange. The highly skeletonised dial exposes the mechanical architecture beneath, while the white flying bridges sweep across the movement to create the distinctive visual identity of this limited edition. Sapphire crystals with anti-glare treatment protect both sides of the watch, allowing the technical construction to remain visible from every angle.

At its heart is the manually wound Manufacture Calibre RMUL2, a highly skeletonised movement constructed from Grade 5 titanium and treated with PVD and Titalyt®. The movement measures 30.25 x 28.45MM and just 3.15MM thick, with 24 jewels and a free-sprung balance operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Its double-barrel system provides approximately 55 hours of power reserve while maintaining more consistent torque delivery. Developed specifically for sporting applications, the movement underwent impact-resistance testing in excess of 5,000 G.

Completing the RM 61-01 Monochrome is a white rubber strap secured by a double folding clasp, reinforcing the model’s distinctive black-and-white character.
